About St. Andrews Podiatry

St. Andrews Podiatry was first established in February 2013 as a private podiatry clinic that provides a comprehensive range of foot treatments.

The St. Andrews Podiatry team is committed to providing their patients with the highest quality of care from the moment you arrive at the practice; you can expect a friendly and attentive staff dedicated to helping you with any foot or ankle issues you may have.

The team provides a wide range of services such as general podiatry, ingrown toenails, foot and ankle pain, treatment of corns and calluses,  orthotics and many other conditions.

St. Andrews Podiatrists are registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (SCP).

Our podiatrists are fully qualified with over 50 years of experience between them

Jackie Shand

Jackie Shand - St Andrews Podiatry

Jackie graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1994 with a BSc in Human Biology and a Diploma in Podiatry.

Jackie worked with the NHS in Dundee for 20 years. This included work in community clinics, Domiciliary visits, Care Home visits and hospital-based work. She was also the NHS Cleanliness Champion, and she applies all this knowledge to her daily practice.

She started her private practice in 2003 and split her time between the NHS and her own private practice, only giving up her NHS work in the summer of 2014.

Jackie lives in St Andrews with her grown-up son, Ethan and her fiancé Ewan

Gillian Mitchell

Gillian Mitchel - St Andrews Podiatry

Gillian graduated from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, in 1992 with a diploma in Podiatry.

Gillian worked with the NHS in Dundee for 28 years. This included community clinics, Domiciliary visits, Care Home visits and hospital-based work. She has also provided Podiatry cover at various charity walking events, which has led to a keen interest in blisters – the causes and best prevention strategies.

Gillian lives in Letham with her husband, Andrew and their beagle Buddy. She also enjoys crafting and making items to raise funds for beagles in need.

Gill Elder

Gill Elder - Podiatrist - St Andrews Podiatry

Gill started working part-time at the practice in April 2018, and due to the practice’s growth, she is now employed full-time.

Gill lives in Crail and likes to spend her spare time with family and friends.
