Any other problems, such as ingrowing nails, verrucae skin conditions etc., will also be dealt with at this time. Where appropriate, dressings may be applied.

Treatments are finished with a nourishing foot cream massage and foot care advice

Allow approximately 30 mins

St. Andrews Podiatry routine appointments are usually pre-booked at 4, 6, or 8-week intervals, depending on your foot care needs. This includes treatments for callus removal, any verrucae or corns, and cutting all toenails.

St. Andrews Podiatry offers short treatments for minor foot care needs, such as nail cutting.

After an initial assessment, we offer this service to patients who require nail cutting only and who have no other foot care needs.

St. Andrews Podiatry Biomechanical Assessment is essential for assessing poor foot and leg biomechanical function, which can cause related foot, knee and back problems.

During your consultation, your walking is observed, the range of motion within your joints is measured, muscle symmetry and strength and the lower limbs are measured for any length discrepancy.

We will discuss the most suitable treatment to optimise regular foot and leg function with you. These treatments may include exercise programs, orthosis (inserts for your shoes), foot strapping, padding or heel cups

Allow 30 mins

Diabetic Foot Assessment at St. Andrew’s Podiatry is vital for those with diabetes.

Footcare is especially important for people with diabetes to prevent or eliminate problems. Regular foot care from a Health Professions Council registered podiatrist is essential to keep a diabetic’s feet in good order.

We carry out a series of tests to determine any issues you may have, and with ongoing care, this helps to prevent or manage any diabetic-related problem.

Nail and skin care are treated at this session.

Allow 30 mins
